I'll tell you more about the E bag
For this tote bag pattern I wanted to use a worn cotton but I couldn't find it anywhere. This type of finish is often done when the garment is already made to give that touch of wear to the seams.
I thought I could do this finish myself with commercial dye and the result is exactly what I was looking for. If you want to do the same, sew the bag with a cotton fabric and all the trimmings you use also in cotton, so that everything will dye without problems. If you use synthetic fabrics you won't be able to dye them. In my case I wanted to use an orange zip and as it is not made of cotton it kept its colour.
I leave a video for you to see the process of dyeing the bag.
The two pockets of the bag I have made with zip but you can also make tailor pockets with double flap..
