FOLLOW ME"Pin, pan, out."
The feeling I get when I come back from the beach and put on an easy, cool and very comfortable garment is one of the things I most appreciate about summer. is one of the things I appreciate most about summer. The "pin, pan, out" is my maxim when the heat presses and everything bothers me. I also like the garments I wear in the warm months to have these characteristics. Easy, comfortable and that they adapt well to my body.
It is difficult for a sewing pattern that is not tailored to fit perfectly to every body so I wanted to make this sarong skirt pattern. It is a midi length skirt that fits perfectly to the size of any waist thanks to this crossing system and the side loop that helps the skirt does not have a specific measure but allows it to fit more sizes than those established in the pattern. This model has 7 sizes, from 36 to 50 but it can be adapted to some more sizes from 50 onwards thanks to the crossover system.
Details of this midi sarong skirt with bow:
- It has a Large front pocket with a central gusset and closed with a flap that emerges from one of the front pieces.
- The placket is closed with a zig zag stitch that also serves as a decorative detail.
- It is a long cross skirt pattern that depending on the fabric you are going to use you can have models of elegant or informal, for verano or winter.
- Try different fabrics and you will see that the result changes and you will get a wonderful collection of midi sarong skirts.

With the video tutorial and the pattern of the midi sarong skirt (I leave the link below) will be as if we were doing a sewing class because we can sew the same model and you will see step by step how I have sewn it. The important thing is that you can do it at your own pace, stopping where you need to and sewing little by little to get an excellent final result.
What will you learn with this new project?
When you sew a project everything you learn builds up in your sewing knowledge and you can then apply it to future sewing projects.
- You will learn how to sew a pocket with gusset and placket between two pieces of skirt. This type of pocket can be used for example if you make a coat.
- To add pockets to sew a waistband. This type of waistband is a very common element in skirts or pants.
- To add pockets to sew a bow. This pointed loop can be used again if you later want to make a blouse or top to which you want to apply this detail.
- The more things you can do, the more fluent you will become and the more complicated projects you will be able to choose. Set yourself challenges to level up.
